"Thinking back still makes me laugh a little. There were 4 of us, and the other 3 all ordered rice bowls. After the first bite, they each had this kind of indescribable look that said a lot without words. I ordered teppanyaki, which came out much later after everyone had finished their bowls. The server brought me a free bowl of miso soup to make up for it. The food itself was fine, nothing special. Overall, the place feels more like somewhere to drink and hang out than a restaurant meant for really enjoying the food"

"Great food! Very friendly and welcoming owner! The yakitori tasted great and quality of the chicken was exceptional. Very authentic Japanese izakaya experience! The owner was so kind and even gave us a free side of purple sweet potato fries which were perfectly crispy and delicious without being too oilly! Very good and I highly recommend the yakatori ! We order chicken breast, heart and liver and it was all incredibly tasty. I will definitely be coming back it’s well worth that walk down Stanton street if you are in the area!"

"Really good food and friendly staff. We ordered the tofu seaweed salad, yalisoba, and a pajeon seafood pancake. The seaweed tofu salad was served in four individual spoons and was absolutely delicious. The yakisoba was perfectly spiced and the park value was delicious. Definitely coming back here to try some of the other stuff on the menu."

"I came here late one evening on a weekday and enjoyed my experience! The interior of the restaurant is spacious, casual, and great for big groups. Service here was pretty fast. We ordered sake, takoyaki, agedashi tofu, gyudon/udon, and a variety of skewers. Everything was delicious. The skewers came in a good portion and the entrees were flavorful and huge plates. It was a great casual drinking and cozy vibe with friends on a rainy day."
